The 2000 Chevrolet Express 2000 is a full-size van that was produced by General Motors from 1996 to 2002. The Express 2000, along with its identical twin, the GMC Savana, were a significant departure from their predecessors, the Chevrolet G-Series and GMC Vandura, which were based on a body-on-frame design. The Express 2000, however, was built on a unibody platform, providing a more rigid and car-like driving experience. It offered a range of configurations, including cargo vans, passenger vans, cutaway chassis cabs, and shuttle buses, catering to a diverse set of needs, from commercial use to family transportation.

Powering the 2000 Express 2000 was a choice between two powerful V8 engines. The standard engine was a 4.3-liter Vortec V8, producing 160 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. Opting for the 5.7-liter Vortec V8, however, provided a substantial boost in power, generating 255 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. This robust powertrain, coupled with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission, ensured that the Express 2000 could handle various cargo loads and passenger capacities with ease. The 2000 Express 2000 also featured a spacious and functional interior, with ample cargo space in the cargo vans, comfortable seating in the passenger vans, and a variety of customizable options to suit specific user preferences.
