Whether you're a seasoned mechanic or a novice DIY enthusiast, this manual equips you with the knowledge to keep your Pontiac Aztek running smoothly.

The Pontiac Aztek, produced from 2002 to 2007, was a unique and somewhat controversial compact crossover SUV that aimed to blend the versatility of a minivan with the ruggedness of an SUV. While it garnered attention for its distinctive styling, the Aztek ultimately failed to achieve commercial success. Its design, heavily influenced by the "blob" aesthetic popularized in the early 2000s, featured a highly angular and asymmetrical exterior with a prominent, almost bulbous front end. The interior, though spacious and functional, featured a two-tone color scheme that, while intended to be modern and bold, proved divisive among buyers. Offering a choice of four-cylinder or V6 engines, the Aztek boasted adequate power for most driving situations, although its fuel efficiency was criticized as being less than optimal.

Despite its shortcomings, the Aztek did possess some noteworthy attributes. Its cargo space was incredibly versatile, offering ample room for passengers and gear thanks to its fold-down rear seats and optional roof rack. A removable cargo partition allowed for secure storage of valuables, and its 60/40 split-folding second-row seats could be folded flat to create a truly remarkable flat-load floor. The Aztek also offered a number of practical features, such as a built-in cooler, a removable center console, and multiple storage compartments. While it wasn't a sales sensation, the Pontiac Aztek remains a fascinating example of automotive design experimentation. Its unique blend of features and styling, though not universally appealing, aimed to push boundaries and offer a unique driving experience.
