The Škoda Estelle was a small, rear-engined car produced by the Czech manufacturer Škoda from 1977 to 1989. It was a significant car in Škoda's history, replacing the popular Škoda 100/110, and marking a departure from the company's previous focus on larger, less economical models. The Estelle was based on a lengthened version of the Škoda 100 platform, with a modern and more aerodynamic design than its predecessor. This design aimed for better fuel efficiency and driving experience compared to the older model. It was offered in three main variants: the 105, 120, 130, and 136, each differentiated by engine size and power output. The 105 model featured a 1.0-liter engine, while the 120, 130, and 136 were equipped with 1.2-liter, 1.3-liter, and a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine respectively. The Estelle was initially offered as a 2-door sedan, later expanded to include a 4-door sedan, a 3-door estate (known as "Combi"), and a 2-door pickup truck. In the later years of its production, the Estelle was modernized with improvements to the dashboard, interior trim, and engine components. However, the car was criticised for its lack of modern safety features, limited interior space, and the rear-engine placement that contributed to a less refined driving experience.

Despite its shortcomings, the Škoda Estelle enjoyed significant success, particularly in Eastern Europe and developing countries. This popularity was driven by its affordability, reliability, and fuel efficiency, making it a viable alternative to Western-made cars. The Estelle was instrumental in solidifying Škoda's position as a leading manufacturer in Eastern Europe, and it served as a foundation for the development of subsequent models. The Škoda Estelle's legacy continues to this day as a symbol of affordability and practicality, particularly in regions where it remains popular even after production ceased. With its iconic design, recognizable features, and enduring popularity, the Škoda Estelle has secured a place in automotive history as a testament to the company's ingenuity and the enduring appeal of simple, reliable transportation.
