The Dodge Dynasty was a mid-size sedan produced by the Chrysler Corporation from 1987 to 1993. This was the third generation of a series of Dodge automobiles that began in the 1960s as an intermediate-sized, full-size, and then eventually a compact sedan. The Dynasty was a front-wheel drive vehicle available in three trim levels: base, LE, and ES. It was known for its comfortable interior, spacious trunk, and fuel-efficient engine options. The Dynasty shared a platform with the Plymouth Acclaim, and both vehicles were offered with a variety of four-cylinder and V6 engines, with options ranging from 2.2 liters to 3.3 liters in size. The Dynasty offered a comfortable and reliable ride, making it a popular choice for families and commuters. It was also known for its relatively low price point, making it an attractive option in the competitive mid-size sedan market.

The Dynasty's design was a departure from the boxy, angular aesthetics of its predecessors. It featured a more rounded shape with a more aerodynamic profile, which contributed to its improved fuel efficiency. It came standard with features such as power steering, brakes, and an AM/FM radio. The higher trim levels also offered luxury features such as leather upholstery, air conditioning, and power windows. The Dynasty also received a mid-cycle refresh in 1990, which included a revised front grille and taillights, along with a slightly updated interior. Despite the updates, the Dynasty never achieved the same level of sales success as its competitors and was discontinued in 1993. The discontinuation of the Dynasty was partly due to the decline in popularity of mid-size sedans in the early 1990s and partly due to the introduction of the new Dodge Intrepid, which replaced the Dynasty as Dodge's flagship sedan. Although it may not have been the top-selling sedan, the Dynasty was a reliable and comfortable vehicle that offered value for money, making it a popular choice for many drivers during its production run.
