The 1993-1995 Mercury Villager was a minivan produced by Ford Motor Company under its Mercury brand. It shared its platform and many components with the contemporaneous Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan, forming part of the popular Chrysler minivans that revolutionized family transportation in the 1980s and 1990s. This second generation Villager, as with its counterparts, boasted a distinctive aerodynamic design and offered a spacious interior with multiple seating configurations. The Villager aimed to provide a more upscale and refined experience compared to its Plymouth and Dodge siblings, featuring a more luxurious interior, premium appointments, and a slightly more powerful engine. While the Villager was mechanically similar to its platform mates, it had a unique front fascia, grille, and rear lights, aiming to appeal to a more affluent and discerning customer base.

The 1993-1995 Villager was powered by a 3.3-liter, 150-horsepower V6 engine coupled with a four-speed automatic transmission. The engine, sourced from Chrysler, offered decent acceleration for a minivan but wasn't particularly fuel-efficient. The Villager was known for its comfortable ride, spacious interior, and relative reliability. It offered seating for up to seven passengers, various cargo configurations, and a range of standard and optional features. Despite being offered with a more luxurious interior and features to distinguish it from its platform mates, the Villager struggled to achieve significant sales success. The model was eventually discontinued in 1996, replaced by a third-generation Villager that was mechanically more aligned with the Ford Windstar and shared none of its underpinnings with the Chrysler minvans.
