This Bellanca Scout Aircraft Pilot Operating Handbook (POH) Manual covers the 8GCBC model. Spanning 65 pages, it provides comprehensive information for pilots operating this aircraft. The manual includes detailed sections on aircraft systems, performance data, operating procedures, emergency procedures, and maintenance guidelines. It offers pilots the necessary knowledge and insights to safely and effectively operate the Bellanca Scout 8GCBC.

The Bellanca Scout is a single-engine, high-wing, four-seat light aircraft designed and manufactured by the Bellanca Aircraft Corporation. Introduced in 1978, the Scout was intended as a successor to the popular Bellanca Citabria, offering enhanced performance and features. The aircraft's design incorporated a number of innovative features, including a fully cantilever wing, a retractable tricycle landing gear, and a generous baggage compartment. The Scout was powered by a Lycoming IO-360 engine, producing 200 horsepower, and was capable of reaching a maximum speed of 170 mph. Its efficient design allowed for a range of over 600 miles and a service ceiling of 16,000 feet. The Bellanca Scout quickly gained popularity among private pilots and flight schools for its versatility and ease of handling. Its spacious cabin accommodated four adults comfortably, making it suitable for both personal travel and flight instruction. The aircraft's robust construction and reliable engine ensured a high level of safety and reliability. The Scout was also known for its excellent visibility, thanks to its high-wing design and large windows, providing pilots with an unobstructed view of the surroundings. While production of the Scout ceased in 1983, the aircraft remains a popular choice for private owners and flight schools, and a testament to Bellanca's legacy of designing and building high-quality, reliable aircraft.
