The Dodge Stealth, a sporty coupe produced from 1991 to 1994, was a defining moment in the history of both Dodge and Mitsubishi. It was a unique collaboration born from a desire to offer American consumers a taste of Japanese performance engineering without compromising on the iconic Dodge brand identity. This collaboration resulted in a car that was essentially a rebadged Mitsubishi 3000GT, sharing its platform, engine, and many key components. However, Dodge gave the Stealth its own distinct styling, featuring a more aggressive front fascia and rear end, along with a unique interior design. This resulted in a car that offered a striking visual contrast while still embodying the sporty spirit of its Japanese counterpart.

The Dodge Stealth arrived in two trims: the base model and the R/T. Both were powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine, but the R/T version received a turbocharger and intercooler, pushing its power output to an impressive 300 horsepower. This made the Stealth a formidable contender in the performance coupe market, capable of competing with the likes of the Nissan 300ZX and the Toyota Supra. Beyond its powerful engine, the Stealth also offered a sophisticated suspension system, ensuring precise handling and a nimble driving experience, which was further enhanced by its all-wheel-drive system available on higher-end variants. Although the Dodge Stealth enjoyed a successful run, its production was ultimately discontinued in 1994, paving the way for a new era of sports cars from both Dodge and Mitsubishi.
