Ford FREESTAR 2004-2006 Service Repair Manual 2005
This comprehensive Ford FREESTAR Service Repair Manual covers all models and repairs from 2004 to 2006, including the 2005 model year. This is not generic repair information; it's tailored specifically for your Ford FREESTAR. It's the same manual used by technicians at dealerships to maintain, service, diagnose, and repair your vehicle.

The manual provides complete step-by-step instructions, diagrams, illustrations, wiring schematics, and specifications to guide you through every repair process with ease. You'll have everything you need to confidently tackle any maintenance or repair task.

This digital manual is designed for convenient use. You can print only the pages and diagrams you need, eliminating the need to flip through bulky books. You can also enlarge images and print them for a closer look. The manual is compatible with Windows Vista 32 and 64, XP, ME, 98, NT, 2000, and Mac operating systems.

The Ford Freestar, produced from 2004 to 2006, marked a departure from its predecessor, the Windstar. Developed on the Ford W platform, the Freestar offered a more modern and refined design, catering to families seeking spacious and comfortable transport. Its minivan silhouette housed three rows, accommodating up to eight passengers, with ample cargo space for luggage and other necessities. The Freestar's interior featured plush seats, available leather upholstery, and a range of amenities, including a power sliding door and a power liftgate, making access and loading convenient for all. Power came from a 3.9L V6 engine, producing 200 horsepower, or a 4.2L V6 producing 203 horsepower, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The Freestar rode on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride for passengers. The Freestar offered various trim levels, ranging from the base model to the more luxurious SEL, allowing buyers to choose a configuration that best suited their needs and preferences.

While the Freestar offered practicality and comfort, it faced competition from other popular minivans in its segment, such as the Chrysler Town & Country and the Honda Odyssey. Despite its relatively short production run, the Freestar earned a reputation for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and reliable performance. However, its lack of innovative features and its dated design ultimately hindered its success in the marketplace. In 2007, Ford replaced the Freestar with the new, more modern-looking and feature-packed Ford Freestyle.
