The Fiat Bravo and Brava were a pair of compact cars produced by the Italian automaker Fiat from 1995 to 2001. They were the successors to the Fiat Tipo and were offered in three-door hatchback, five-door hatchback, and a three-door station wagon body styles. The Bravo and Brava were designed with a focus on practicality and affordability, offering a spacious interior and a range of efficient petrol and diesel engines. The Bravo was aimed at a younger, more sporty demographic, featuring a sportier design and a more aggressive driving experience. The Brava, on the other hand, was positioned as a more family-oriented option, offering a more comfortable and spacious interior. The Fiat Bravo and Brava proved to be popular choices in Europe, particularly in countries like Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. They were praised for their spacious interiors, comfortable ride, and good fuel economy. However, the models also faced criticism for their perceived lack of build quality and their somewhat dated interiors. The Bravo and Brava were offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engines, ranging from 1.2 liters to 1.9 liters in displacement. Power outputs ranged from around 60 horsepower to 130 horsepower. The models were available with manual and automatic transmissions. In 1998, the Bravo and Brava received a minor facelift, featuring updated bumpers, headlights, and taillights. Despite their popularity, the Bravo and Brava were ultimately replaced by the Fiat Stilo in 2001.
