The Cadillac XTS is a full-size luxury sedan that was produced by General Motors from 2013 to 2019. Positioned as a competitor to the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, and Audi A6, the XTS aimed to provide a comfortable and spacious driving experience with a focus on technology and refinement. It offered a sophisticated exterior design with sharp lines and a prominent grille, while the interior featured premium materials, a well-appointed cabin, and a range of advanced features. The XTS was available with two engine options: a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 304 horsepower and a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine generating 410 horsepower. Both engines were paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive was standard with all-wheel drive offered as an option. The XTS was praised for its smooth ride, quiet cabin, and impressive list of standard and optional features, including a Bose sound system, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a sunroof, heated and ventilated seats, and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies. The Cadillac XTS, however, never quite achieved the same sales success as its German counterparts, ultimately facing stiff competition in a crowded luxury sedan segment. Nevertheless, the XTS remained a popular choice for drivers seeking a well-equipped and comfortable full-size sedan at a competitive price point.
