The Suzuki Equator, a mid-size pickup truck, was a brief foray by Suzuki into the North American market, produced from 2010 to 2012. Built on the Nissan Frontier platform, the Equator shared the same underpinnings and powertrain options as its Nissan counterpart. Despite its robust foundation and competent performance, the Equator failed to gain traction in the competitive pickup truck segment. It lacked the brand recognition and marketing muscle of established players, making it a niche offering that struggled to attract buyers.

The Equator was available in three trim levels: Base, LE, and SE. Power came from a 4.0-liter V6 engine, producing 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission delivered power to either rear or four wheels. The Equator offered a decent payload capacity and towing capability, making it suitable for light hauling and towing tasks. However, its styling was uninspired and lacked the ruggedness and appeal of its competitors. Furthermore, its interior, while functional, was not particularly luxurious or well-appointed. The Equator's lackluster sales performance ultimately led to its discontinuation in 2012, marking the end of Suzuki's brief foray into the American pickup truck market.
