The Daihatsu YRV (Youthful Revolution Vehicle), designated as the M200, M201, and M211 series, is a compact hatchback manufactured by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu from 2000 to 2005. This model marked a significant departure from the previous YRV, offering a more contemporary design and a wider array of features. The M200 series, introduced in 2000, was available with a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine (1SZ-FE) paired with a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. In 2001, the M201 model was launched, bringing a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (1NZ-FXE) and a 4-speed automatic transmission. The M211, introduced in 2003, continued with the 1.3-liter engine and offered a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) option alongside the manual gearbox.

The YRV was designed to be a practical and efficient city car, offering nimble handling, a comfortable interior, and a spacious cabin despite its compact dimensions. Standard features included power steering, air conditioning, and a CD player. Higher trim levels added options like power windows, power mirrors, and keyless entry. While the YRV didn't achieve the same popularity as some of Daihatsu's other models, it garnered praise for its fuel efficiency, reliability, and ease of driving. However, its compact size and lack of powerful engine options limited its appeal to a niche audience. The YRV was eventually replaced by the Daihatsu Boon, which shared underpinnings with the Toyota Passo, marking a shift in Daihatsu's strategy towards smaller and more fuel-efficient models.
