The 2010 Hyundai Veracruz is a mid-size crossover SUV that was produced from 2007 to 2014. The Veracruz was Hyundai's attempt to enter the then-booming mid-size SUV market, offering a blend of practicality, comfort, and refinement. It was designed to compete with established players like the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot. The Veracruz offered seating for seven passengers in three rows, making it a popular choice for families. It came equipped with a standard 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 260 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Veracruz also featured a well-appointed interior with comfortable seats and ample cargo space, making it suitable for both city driving and weekend getaways.

Despite its relatively large size, the Veracruz managed to achieve respectable fuel economy for its time. The standard engine offered 17 mpg (city) and 24 mpg (highway), while the optional front-wheel drive configuration slightly improved fuel efficiency. The Veracruz was also a relatively safe vehicle, earning a 4 out of 5 star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). However, it was criticized for its somewhat bland styling compared to its competitors, and its popularity declined as the market shifted towards more fuel-efficient options. The Veracruz was discontinued after the 2014 model year, replaced by the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, a smaller and more fuel-efficient crossover SUV that better reflected the evolving market trends.
