The Renault Laguna is a mid-size car that was produced by the French automaker Renault from 1993 to 2015. Spanning three generations, the Laguna was known for its stylish design, comfortable interior, and advanced features. The first generation, launched in 1993, was initially offered as a four-door saloon but later expanded to include a five-door hatchback and a three-door coupé variant. The Laguna I was known for its advanced features for its time, including a driver's airbag, ABS brakes, and an optional automatic climate control system. The second generation, launched in 2001, further emphasized the Laguna's comfort and refinement. It introduced a spacious interior, improved handling, and advanced safety features, including front and side airbags as standard. The Laguna II was also available with a range of powerful petrol and diesel engines, including the renowned 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine.

The third and final generation of the Laguna, launched in 2007, saw a significant departure from the previous generations. It featured a more dynamic and aggressive design language, with bolder lines and a more sloping roofline. The Laguna III offered a variety of engines, including the latest generation of Renault's powerful diesel engines, and also offered advanced features like a touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, and a panoramic sunroof. While the Laguna III was praised for its stylish design and comfortable interior, it was ultimately unable to achieve the same sales success as its predecessors. In 2015, Renault announced the discontinuation of the Laguna nameplate, ending a long and successful run for the mid-size car. The Laguna played a significant role in Renault's history, helping establish the brand as a strong contender in the European mid-size car market. Its stylish design, comfortable interior, and advanced features resonated with buyers, making it a popular choice for families and individuals who valued both comfort and practicality.
