The Citroën Xsara is a compact car that was produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1997 to 2006. It was a popular car in Europe, and was also sold in other markets around the world. The Xsara replaced the Citroën ZX, and was known for its stylish design, comfortable ride and good value for money. It was available in a variety of body styles, including a 3-door hatchback, a 5-door hatchback, a station wagon (known as the Xsara Break), and a coupé (known as the Xsara Coupé).

The Xsara was powered by a range of petrol and diesel engines, with power outputs ranging from 68 to 167 hp. It featured a variety of trim levels, ranging from the basic base model to the more luxurious VTR and VTS models. The Xsara was well-equipped for its time, with features such as power steering, air conditioning, and a CD player being offered as standard equipment on many models. While the Xsara was generally praised for its value for money, reliability, and comfortable ride, it did face some criticism for its handling and its somewhat dated interior. The Xsara was a successful model for Citroën, and sold over 2.7 million units during its production run, making it a major contributor to Citroën's success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It was replaced by the Citroën C4 in 2004, but the Xsara name continues to be used by Citroën for a range of models in China.
