The 2005 Pontiac Vibe is a compact car that was produced by General Motors from 2003 to 2010. It was based on the Toyota Corolla platform and shared many components with the Toyota Matrix. The Vibe was marketed as a stylish and practical car that offered a good balance of performance, fuel economy, and cargo space. It was available in two trim levels: the base model and the GT. The base model came standard with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 130 horsepower and was mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The GT model had a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produced 164 horsepower and was paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. Both models were available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations.

The 2005 Vibe offered a number of standard features, including air conditioning, power windows and locks, CD player, and anti-lock brakes. The GT model added sporty features like a rear spoiler, fog lights, and alloy wheels. The Vibe was praised for its spacious interior, comfortable ride, and decent handling. It also received good fuel economy ratings for its class. However, it was criticized for its bland styling and lack of interior refinement. Despite its flaws, the Vibe was a popular choice for buyers who were looking for a practical and affordable compact car. It was a successful model for Pontiac, and it helped to revive the brand's image during the early 2000s. However, Pontiac was discontinued in 2010, and the Vibe was replaced by the Chevrolet Sonic.
