The Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 is a mid-engined sports car produced by Ferrari from 1973 to 1980. It was the first production Ferrari road car to feature a V8 engine, a departure from the company's traditional V12 powerplants. The car was designed by Pininfarina and was a significant departure from the sleek, elegant lines of previous Ferraris. The 308 GT4 featured a sharp, angular body with a distinctive "wedge" shape, reflecting the growing trend towards aerodynamic designs in the early 1970s. Its most notable feature was its distinctive, almost "shark-nosed" front end, which housed a large pair of headlights that were retractable and folded into the bodywork when not in use.

The 308 GT4 was powered by a 3.0-liter, 90-degree V8 engine that was mounted longitudinally behind the driver. This engine produced 255 horsepower and was connected to a five-speed manual gearbox. The car was praised for its handling and performance, offering a thrilling driving experience. Its relatively lightweight design, combined with the potent engine, resulted in a car that could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 6 seconds. Despite its sporty nature, the 308 GT4 was also surprisingly practical, featuring a spacious interior with a comfortable driving position and a decent amount of luggage space behind the engine. It became a popular choice for both enthusiasts and collectors, and its distinctive character has solidified its status as a true classic in the world of sports cars.
