The Isuzu Rodeo is a mid-size SUV that was produced by the Japanese automaker Isuzu from 1990 to 2004. It was introduced to the US market in 1991 and quickly gained popularity for its rugged design, capable off-road performance, and reliable powertrains. The Rodeo was available with a choice of two engines: a 2.6-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.2-liter V6 engine. Both engines were paired with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission. The Rodeo was also offered in a variety of trim levels, including the base LS, the mid-level S, and the top-of-the-line Sport.
The 1998-2004 Isuzu Rodeo saw a significant redesign that introduced new styling, improved interior comfort, and enhanced safety features. The second generation Rodeo was built on a new platform that offered a wider track and a larger wheelbase. This increased its overall stability and handling. The interior was redesigned with more comfortable seats, updated upholstery, and a more modern dashboard. It also came equipped with standard features like dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), and a new traction control system. Although its popularity waned in the late 1990s, the Isuzu Rodeo remained a capable and dependable SUV known for its durability and off-road capability.
