The Škoda 120 LE is a compact car that was produced by the Czech manufacturer Škoda Auto from 1976 to 1990. It was a front-wheel drive, four-door saloon with a conventional body and a longitudinal engine layout. The 120 LE was a further development of the Škoda 105/120 series, which had been launched in 1976. The "LE" designation stood for "Luxury Equipment" and denoted a higher trim level than the standard 120 model. It featured a number of upgrades, including a larger engine, a more luxurious interior, and a wider range of optional extras.

The Škoda 120 LE was powered by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 48 horsepower. This engine was derived from the previous 105/120 series, but it was updated with a new carburetor and a higher compression ratio. The 120 LE was available with a four-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed manual gearbox. The car's suspension was also upgraded with a new rear axle design to provide improved handling and ride comfort. Despite its humble origins and modest power output, the Škoda 120 LE was a popular and reliable car in its time. It was known for its affordability, durability, and ease of maintenance. It became a mainstay of communist-era Czechoslovakia, particularly for its use as taxi cabs and for fleet use by government agencies. The car's simplistic design and rugged construction made it well suited for the harsh conditions of Eastern Europe. The 120 LE was also exported to a number of other countries, including the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, and even some Western European markets. However, its unrefined nature and lack of modern features meant that the 120 LE was not able to compete with the newer and more sophisticated cars that were emerging from Western Europe in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
