The BMW K1200RS is a sport touring motorcycle that was produced by BMW Motorrad from 2001 to 2006. It was a successor to the popular K1100RS and featured a number of significant improvements, including a new 1157cc four-cylinder engine, a more aerodynamic bodywork, and a redesigned chassis. The K1200RS was known for its excellent handling, powerful engine, and comfortable riding position, making it a popular choice for both long-distance touring and spirited riding.

The K1200RS was powered by a liquid-cooled, 16-valve, four-cylinder engine that produced 132 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 92 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine was mated to a six-speed transmission and a shaft drive. The K1200RS had a single-sided swingarm, telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. It also featured a number of advanced electronic features, including traction control, ABS, and an electronic cruise control system. The K1200RS was available in a variety of colors, including silver, blue, red, and black. It was a popular choice for riders who wanted a motorcycle that could do it all - long-distance touring, sporty riding, and even occasional track days. The K1200RS was a technological marvel for its time, and despite its discontinuation in 2006, it remains a popular and sought-after motorcycle amongst enthusiasts.
